Our School
As Headteacher of Uffculme School, it is truly a pleasure be part of such a dynamic and special community. We are very lucky to have such a committed and skilled group of staff who are so passionate about helping the children and young people make progress and to reach their very best. This is a wonderful place to learn and work. Our children, young people and leavers have enjoyed many years of success at Uffculme. We continue to expand our provision to enhance further the learning opportunities and experiences of our young people.
Over the past few years, we have worked with students, parents, carers and staff to understand the priorities for our learners and to ensure that the lived experiences of our students in school enables them to make ambitious progress towards their personalised outcomes in line with our mission statement.
To enable all young people to lead meaningful and enjoyable lives.
All staff at Uffculme strive to support pupils to develop their own sense of independence, autonomy, communication and to know what they enjoy and make them happy, in order that they can find purpose as they grow into young adults.
We are extremely proud of the work that we do at Uffculme and are always seeking to improve in our practice and to develop the opportunities we present to our pupils in order to help achieve their best. Staff at Uffculme are warm and supportive towards all of our pupils and there is a real sense of caring and high expectations around the school. As Headteacher, it is a school of which I am incredibly proud.
